Over the past 15 years I have produced dozens of videos on the subject of academic research and writing. Below you can learn a little bit about my early work as well as my current project of developing the More Than Memos channel.

Tech Comm Examples

In 2023 I launched the series "Tech Comm Examples" as the second stream of content on More Than Memos. These videos provide an implicit answer to the constant question "What is Technical Communication?" by providing real-world examples of tech comm genres. The series not only shows the breadth of what can count as technical communication, but also why those genres are interesting and important.

Talking Bout Tech Comm

As the first series on the channel More Than Memos, "Talking Bout Tech Comm" showcases current research in technical and professional communication. Each video features a researcher in the field talking about one of their articles: what they researched, what they found, and the implications for the field of technical and professional writing.

The Purdue OWL

In 2012 started developing videos for the Purdue Online Writing Lab (known colloquially as the Purdue OWL) in order to create an alternate version of their world-renowned guidelines for academic writing. In 2014 I started training others to produce video content for the channel and helped to develop a consistent content strategy for their video materials.

In Defense of Rhetoric

I learned the basics of filming, editing, and producing YouTube content by working on this video while I was an MA student at Clemson University. The video attempts to introduce outsiders to the academic understanding of rhetoric and its applicability to a range of professional disciplines.
